The event in Accra, originally scheduled for the 25th of March, has been postponed to the 23rd of November 2012.

World referee seminar in Vienna

Referee seminar Vienna

Vienna, Austria; WKF head office organised the annual 2012 World referee seminar in Austria on March 2nd-4th.

We got 67 registrations from our male / female referees of 6 continents but like always some of them start to late with Visa procedure and failed.

The next host of the World referee seminar 2013 on 1st to 3rd March is scheduled for the city Kalisz, promoter WKF  Poland.

All WKF referees, who not has attended the last seminar in Lviv 2011, or Vienna 2012 must extend their license in Poland. The extended License is valid for three Years again.

International event in Ghana – 25th of March

We are proud to announce that we will organize an international event in Accra, Ghana on the 25th of March 2012.

It will feature the following:

Alhassan Okine (68 kg), fighting for the world title in full contact
Gerald K. Dah (66 kg) fighting for the intercontinental title in thai boxing (K-1 rules)

Results from the first national title event

Last saturday (28th of May) the first ever WKF Ghana National Title fight event took place. These are the results:

Gerald Dah defeated Okpodjah Tetteh via decision
Raphael Boadzo defeated Issaka Issah via a split decision
Stephen Abbey drew against Prince Okine (boxing bout)
Light Middleweight Title Bout: Isaac Doku defeated Steavano Tuekpe via split decision

Results from Austria

Issaka Issah lost the title fight against the WKF Intercontinental 60 kg Champion Olexii Tyshliakov, by KO in the first round after a high kick to the head.
